Guru Nanak Public School strives to maintain excellence in academics, so that in today's world the students may be able to proceed to institiution of higher learning of their choice.
Course Of Studies
The school is affiliated to the central board of secondary education. The school offers Science, Commerce & Humanties streams in class XI-XII. The medium of instruction is English with Hindi and Punjabi as a compulsary languages till class VIII.
Examination Pattern
  • The School follows a three Semester System of Examination at Primary level.
  • The school follows a two term system of Examination at Middle & Sec.level.
  • (a) Class Pre-School – V
    A continuous and comprehensive grading system shall be followed. The student will not be taking any weekly /terminal examination. He/she will be tested at the completion of each chapter/concept taught and the performance therein will contribute towards a final grade.

  • The pass marks for all subjects in all classes will be 33%
  • Students indulging in malpractices will get a zero in that paper and a warning letter. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.
  • A student who fails twice in the same class will no be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
  • To be eligible for the Annual Examination the student must have 75% attendance.


Note:
           CLASS XII:

  • The Pre-Board / Selections will be held parallel to the Terminal Examination of the rest of the school.
  • Special arrangements for retesting cannot be made for students who for any reason whatsoever are absent from the main examination or any part of it.
  • Parent-Teacher Meeting are held after each Formative / Summative / Semester Examination. Should a parent desire to meet a teacher at any time. s/he may do so by appointment. A teacher may send for a parent in connection with the progress of a child as per requirement.
  • Students may not receive private tuition from school teachers without the permission of the Principal.
